Since its establishment SAFAA has remained the leading and most significant institution in the Republic of Armenia providing higher education in the spheres of art and design. The best traditions preserved in the institution are combined with modern methods of technological advancement ensuring the preparation of competitive and leading specialists of the field, individual artists, and researchers in certain fields in an ever-changing environment. Equipped classroom-based and laboratory classes allow the students familiarize themselves with peculiarities of the specialties, demonstrating in practice the gained knowledge and skills. Teaching methods implemented at SAFAA are the best manifestation of student-centered approach that promotes the student\u2019s development and establishment as an individual and a specialist.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

SAFAA offers 9 academic programmes in the fields of fine arts, design, art studies and decorative applied arts. Starting from the first year at SAFAA, our students get acquainted with the specialties, gain in-depth professional knowledge which is combined with practical work ensuring the development of practical skills and abilities. Upon completion of Bachelor programme our students can easily be adapted to the relevant environment with the creative and critical mind developed through the academic years and demonstrate themselves as competitive specialists.<\/p>\n

Interdisciplinary cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n

SAFAA undergraduate students have a unique opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary projects within the modules of proposed academic programmes that are aimed at developing professional skills, acquiring teamwork abilities as well as establishing new cooperation with student- representatives of other or related fields. Interdisciplinary projects are one of the best ways to develop and implement new ideas that will force raising priority issues and seeking ways to their solutions.<\/p>\n
